Thank you for your interest in the Midwest High School.  We appreciate your desire to know more about earning your high school diploma from a Christian School.  This is not a G.E.D. program, but it is a fully accredited High School Diploma program. 

Graduating from high school in the comfort of your home may not be as difficult as you may think.  You have probably thought about how things might have been different if you had only finished high school.  Perhaps you have even considered going back to school to complete your education.  We know that there are many other programs that are available to you that can help you pursue your dreams, but there is no other program available like ours.  You can join the thousands of other students who have received their high school diploma by correspondence.  Your hopes of being a “graduate” can be a reality in just a few short days, or at the most, a few short weeks. 

Here's how the program works: you will receive the series of five tests that cover the main courses of study, take the tests under the supervision of a family member or friend, 21 years of age or older, who can monitor your testing, and bring or send the tests to us for grading, and wait a couple of short days for your results.

The tests are on the subjects of Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Math and Writing Skills.  If you pass all of the tests with a grade of 70% or better, you will receive your high school diploma.  The diploma is suitable for framing and has our gold seal embossed on the bottom.  You will be proud to show your family and friends that you have received your diploma and have become one of our newest graduates.

If there are any of the five tests that you did not pass, you can receive tutoring at an additional cost of $25.00 per hour on the subject that you need additional help with.  After you have passed any retest, you may graduate.  If you are interested in entering the military or going to college or technical school, be advised that some branches of the military and some colleges (usually state funded colleges or universities) do not accept correspondence school diplomas.

This program is fast, convenient, and affordable.  There are some restrictions that may apply, so read the requirements carefully and come in for your testing packet today.

Requirements for enrollment

  1. You must be at least 18 years of age, or 17 years of age with a parent or guardian.
  2. You must have been out of school for at least three (3) months.
  3. You must have at least entered into the ninth (9th) grade at your last school.
  4. You must fill out and sign an application for enrollment and return to us.
  5. Enrollment and testing fees must be paid with the application. 

Requirements for graduation:

  1. You must complete the testing packet (containing tests for Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Math and Essay) within 6 months.
  2. You must submit a copy of your driver's license or state identification for your file.
  3. You must submit a copy of your withdrawal form from your last high school if you are 17 years old.
  4. You must complete all tests and return the packet to us for grading.
  5. You must have a grade of 70% or better on each of the five tests.
  6. You must complete any and all parts of the exam for subjects that did not have a passing grade of 70% or better.
  7. You must retake any test that did not have a passing grade of 70% or better for any and all subjects required.
  8. You must have all fees paid in full.
  9. You must have your testing monitor sign their verification sheet.

 

Fee Schedule:

Enrollment and testing fee: Pays for registration, records, Diploma for Graduation, pays for the package of five required tests, grading, and evaluation. Total cost is $250.00 payable in cash or money order only.

Retesting fee:  Pays for any test that has to be retaken, includes grading.  Total cost is $15.00 for each test to be retaken.  

Transcript fee:  In order to obtain an official copy of your grades and your graduation date.  Total cost is $10.00.

There are no refunds for any fees once they have been received. 

Please note that by signing the application, you are giving us permission to release your school transcript to potential employers and/or schools.
